Finals Week Is Over

Bismillah walhamdulillah

I haven’t written a blog post in so long, I’m not sure if I even remember how to do it.

Finals Week is over, which means my first semester of Grad School is over, which means I have a bunch of new realizations about Time, about myself and about life that I want to share with others, but I am not sure how right now. So until I figure that out, I guess this is just a heads-up that I will be back inshaaAllah for the next few days or so with posts on Counseling, Qur’an Memorization, Time Management, and Niqabi/Hijabi Support :)

How has everyone else been doing?

May Allah swt bless you all and your families. Ameen

    As salaamu alaykum

Hope you are doing well sis

Can we request posts? :) Can you please add to your hifdh diary collection. Two things i’m struggling on at the moment are reviewing and feeling overwhelmed with it all.

    JazakAllahu khayra

      walaykumasalam wrwb ukhti,

:) of course inshaAllah, requests are welcomed. I definitely want to add to my hifdh diaries inshaAllah, probably the most out of all of my pages. May Allah swt ease for you your hifdh.
Could I just ask – what do you mean exact by “feeling overwhelmed with it all” ? :)

And I have a special treat that I have been planning to share on the blog, keep forgetting subhanAllah – I’ll probably make that my next post iA :)

Well it’s a combination of making mistakes in my review, feeling like im going at snails pace (yes i know its not something to rush but when you measure your progress, knowing that you’re getting somewhere is what motivates you), struggling with my new hifdh, fear of forgetting, being lazy, doubting myself. Stuff like that just leaves me feeling competely overwhelmed and stressed.

When i get like that it really badly affects my ability to memorise, which in turn feeds the stress.

I look forward to ur posts inshaAllah. Just seen the one on musafir ma’al Qur’an. It really is a brilliant series. May Allah abundantly reward sh. Fahad (you can tell he is so passionate about Quran and hifdh) and also the sister who’s translating it. Every episode is such a motivation and for me demonstrates two thing:

The ayah, and we have made the Qur’an easy to remember… Did you see the one with brother with the learning difficultiies that couldnt do maths yet could recite any ayah? Or the blind brother who began memorising at age 3. Gives me such a boost.

And secondly, it just so perfectly demonstrates how Allah raises some people with His book and how the huffadh are truely His special ppl. When you see the amazing, amazing ppl on the series and you love them and make dua for them for no other reason then them having memorised the Qur’an, you realise that living here in the west we have it all, food, house, technology, everything, but Allah gave them something SO much better and you badly wish you had the same.

Anyway i think im gonna finish with the comment. Apologies for babbling on a it. :)

Lol sis don’t apologize, I love reading your comments :) And I was thinking of you when I posted that, btw, so may Allah swt reward you as well for everyone who benefits.
As for everything you said – EXACTLY. The series brings my heart so much rest, and that is the overwhelming message, what you’ve said, memorizing the Qur’an IS easy and very doable, provided a few other factors are there, namely sincerity and effort :)
I will be back inshaAllah with more posts, and jazakiallahu khair for the push sis
