Hifdh Challenge from Misk Academy

Hifdh Challenge #2:
Those who used Tablets to memorize, had to ERASE their lesson of the day and didn’t have access to a Mushaf afterwards. They made sure to commit that lesson to memory before erasing.
CHALLENGE: don’t close the book until it’s committed. Once you close the book, no look-backs allowed.

    JZK for the post Sister,
It;s me Liban. Not to be a little off topic, but I was wondering if I could get some help on something. I am currently on Surah Nur. Now, when I was doing Quran in the madrassa I currently go to, the teacher made me start and go from surah Nas-Furqan. Then, he started me from Surah Baqarah-Araaf. Then, he started me again from Nur. I need help on how I could do some serious review from Nas-Nur. I’m quite rusty on Nur-To the Ha Mim’s. How could I find some good review to keep it solid in my head?

Wa iyyakum. Liban, is it possible for you to arrange a review-schedule of Nas-Nur with your teacher. I find that if you are already going to a teacher who is giving you homework, it can be hard to have your own additional, personal homework on the side. So first see if you can set something up with your teacher inshaAllah. If that doesn’t work, then you should know either way, there is no trick to memorization or review. You need to assess your daily capacity for it, and then be consistent. Consistency is key, that’s where most of us mess up. Make lots of du’a. Find someone you can regularly recite to, your portion of review that day. wa billahit tawfeeq.
